AGREEMENT WITH SHEARERS. PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE AT FEILDING.

Press Association. PALMERSTON X., March 26. The Wellington Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union met hoie to-day. Mr. Cooper reported as to the business done m connection with the shearers’ dispute, and the action taken as to filing an agreement arrived at at a conference. The mattei will bo brought before the Arbrtration Court next Thursday. The date loi the annual provincial conference, to be held this year at Tedding was fixed for May 26th, and it is expected to be one of the largest conferences held in this province. A district branch of the Union.has been formed at Pahiatua, with 130 men bers. Branches are to be notified that the levy for the ensuing year would be 6s per member, and will bo asked to express an opinion as to graduated levies.
