PERSONAL.
Colonel Hume, Inspector of Prisons, will arrive in Gisborne on Saturday to inspect proposed sites for a prison. He will lie met "by tlie Mayor (Air. J. Towuloy). AJr. Finlay Ferguson, of Patutahi, was brought into town yesterday, and it is possible that an operation may be performed in the hope ; i restoring him to health.
