KENTISH PRODUCTION RUINED. BRITISH HOPS FOR BRITISH PEOPLE. United Press Association —Copyright (Received April 15, 11.40 p.m.) ; ‘ LONDON, April 15. Sir Gilbert Parker, in the House of Commons, directed attention to the ruination of tho Kent hop industry by the dumping of 8000 tons of American hops into the United Kingdom within a few weeks. Mr. Lloyd-Georgo deprecated it as an exaggeration, and attributed., the difficulties of the British industry largely to the development -of laborsavang machinery and the use of hop substitutes. He jocularly suggested that brewers should show patriotism by only using British • hops. The House should await the result of the select committee’s inquiry. The House of Commons adjourned to the 27th inst. ______
