A REMINDER TO CITIZENS.
(To tub Emtoii.] Sir,—Allow mo ■to remind nil interested in educational matters that tho election of school committees takes place on Monday, April 27th. They are urged to return member's who favor tho following reforms:— (1) The placing of tho Ten Commandments Wall Chart in. each classroom. (2) The rending of a simple Bible lesson daily by the scholars under tho supervision of tho teacher. Tlio Wellington Education Board has allowed the Ten Commandments to bo placed on the walls ol their schools. In Ireland, and Ontario— Canada—tho Ten Commandments are exhibited. In tho latter province they aro repeated onco a week by tho scholars. Owing to tho incrcaso of jnvenilo crime it is folt that onr children’s education is not complete without some definite knowledge of the great moral laws laid down in tho Bible, which is tho best text book of morals, besides being onr greatest classic. It .therefore rests with tho school committees of this Dominion to sav it they want this reform. Kindly attend election for tho children’s sake.— lamCt °- S. PEARSON. 134, Cuba Street, Wellington.
