The Mayoral election nominations closed to-day. For Nelson Jesse Piper, the sitting Mayor, and Councillor Ilampson wore nominated. For Richmond, Mr. Sheat- was returned unopposed for a second term. FEILDING, April 23. Mr. W. J. B. Trcwin was re-elect-ed unopposed to the Mayoralty, this making his third successive year of office. NAPIER, April 23. Nominations for the Hastings Mayoralty are: Messrs T. J. Thompson (tho present Mayor), L. W. Fowler, William Lane, and A. A. George,, WELLINGTON, April 23. Mr. C. J. Dasent has been elected Mayor of Karori without opposition. The nominations for tho Miramar Mayoralty are': Mr. C. J. Crawford (the retiring Mayor) and Mr. F. Townsend.
