HOCKEY.
P.B. ASSOCIATION. Tlio annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association was held in tho Royal Hotel last night. Present; Mr. Pavitt (in tho chair) and the following delegates, Messrs Qlsen, Roderick, Gideon, Day, Lewis, Sargisson, and Garrett. Tho following officors were elected: President, . Mr. Pavitt; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. J. Martin, E. L. Maude, G. K. Pasley, R. Johnston, W. F-. Cederwall, and V. Pet-tie; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. M. Sargisson; auditor, Mr. 0. It. Olsen. It was decided that the Association constitute the committee; postponement and referees committee, Messrs Garrett, Roderick, Gideon, and Sargisson; selection committee, Messrs Pavitt, Martin, and Garrett. It was resolved to open the season on Thursday, May 7tli, with a hockey tournament. It was further resolved to send a challenge in for the Champion Shield, which is now held by Auckland. A vote,of thanks was passed to the retiring olilcers, and the meeting concluded.
