THE “STANDARD’S” MOVE.
United Press Association— -Copyright. (Received May 8, 9.25 p.m.) LONDON, (May 8. Tho “Standard” announces, the issue of a weekly supplement entitled “The Standard of the Empire” to bo distributed gratis with the Thursday issues of the “Standard” and containing cable and other nows of all sorts from tho colonies by tho Agents-Gonernl and special writers.
It is licit stated, but it is correct to say that the “Standard” has receives a heavy subvention from Canada and a smaller subvention from the Common wealth. . This is considered a most unusual circumstance in English journalism.
