Elliott, the missing Wellington bankrupt, has been taken out by A. JWicks, a creditor for £l2, alleged to have been collected by Elliott on!his (Wicks’) account, and converted.to debtor’s own use. Action, however, will not be taken by the police unless Wicks or some other creditors guaranteo expenses, -and so far this lias not been done. At the request of the Now Zealand' police, the Sydney authorities are making enquiries as to tlie present whereabouts of Elliott. RETURN OF ELLIOTT. SURRENDERS TO THE POLICE. (Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 10. , The police arc advised that A. C. Elliott, the missing Wellington bankrupt, surrendered to the police' at Auckland to-day. Elliott had just, returned from Sydney, and intended to come on to Wellington, but rail short of funds. He will be formally charged with theft at Auckland to-morrow morning and remanded to Wellington. AUCKLAND, May IQ. . Albert Clarence Elliott, the bankrupt land and estate agent of Wellington, walked into tlie police station this morning and gave himself up to the police. He arrived from Sydney by tlie s;s.
