WELLINGTON, May 13. The racehorse Elevation, owned and raced by Mr. Bidwell, of Masterton, which broke down badly while in training in Sydney, arrived in Wellington to-day by the steamer Ulimaroa. Elevation has to some extent recovered from his weakness, and it is the hope of his trainer (Farmer) to pull him together and get a good race or two out of him next season. Grantation, another horse in the stable of Mr. Bidwell, narrowly escaped the loss of his life last week through blood poisoning, occasioned by a rusty nail' becoming embedded in his frog.
