The hockey matches commence on the Victoria Domain this afternoon. At 2 15 Kia Kaha meets City, and at 3.30 To Rau meets West End. At a meeting of tho Council of the New Zealand Hockey Association tonight, a challenge was received from the Poverty Bay Association for the championship shield; making six challenges received altogether. It was derided that Taranaki should play Auckland on .Ailv Rh. and that the winner should play Canterbury . on miction of finance was discussed and i't was decided to refer tho matter to a sub-committee for a report.
