As a member of tho Board for many years, my views on harbor matters generally no doubt are well known to you. Suffice it to say now that if oleeted I shall soo that Mr. Marcliant’s outer harbor scherno with all available information relating thereto is placed before the ratepayers at as early a date as possible. THE HOUSEHOLDERS of the undermentioned School Districts having respectively failed to elect a School Committeo upon the annual day of meeting, it is hereby notified in accordance with Section 114 of “The Education Act, 1904,” that the Education Board for the District of Hawke’s Bay has appointed MONDAY, tho 25th day of May, 1908, as tho time for the nominations, and MONDAY, the Ist day of Juno, 1908, at 7.30 o’clock in the evening as the time for tho election respectively of Committee for such undermentioned schools, and have also appointed the Sclioolhouse in each District as tho place of meeting of householders. The number to be elected to each Committeo mentioned in the first schedule hereto is NINE, to those mentioned in the second schedule SEVEN, and to those mentioned in the third schedule FIVE. The householders within tho several school districts are hereby callled upon to send in writing to the respective Chairmen of the several School Committees, on or before MONDAY, the 25th day of May, 1908, by post or delivered so as to be delivered not later than 8 o’clock in the evening, the names of persons being resident householders nominated by them for election to serve upon the Committee for the year next ensuing, and after the meeting of householders the Committee elected shall hold its first meeting, and thereat elect one of its number to be Chairman for tho year.
