QUESTIONS FOR DISCUSSION
(Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Alay 18. Delegates from tho various branches of the Farmers’ Union an the Auckland province will meet in conference on Thursday. The remits for discussion include such sub jects as the roading of back country, amendment of the Arbitration Act-, compensation ot holders of land who had paid loading for road works where no road work has been accomplished,- shortage ol trucks, making native land liable for rates, protection of land from damage through deposit of mining debris in rivers.’ the land question, and whether or not the Farmers Union should become a political party.
