TURANGANUI LODGE

A meeting of Turangauui Lodge, No. 1480, E.C., for the installation of the AY.M.-elect and tho investiture of officers was held in tho Masonic Sail last evening. There were about 150 members ol tlm craft present, ineluding a number:of visitors from different partsrof New Zealand,

The installation of the AV.M.-elect, Bro. Cbas. IT.Ambridge, was conducted by AVer. Bra . AV. 0. Sheet, P.D.J.W, assisted by AVor. Bro. A. Zadiariah, AV.AI., alter which olficers were invested as follows: 1.P.M., Bro. A. J. Zaehariah; AV.AI., Bro. C. li. Ambridge; S.AV., Bro. AV. B. Mackie; J.AV., Bro. AA’. Carroll; Treasurer, Brs. W. 0. Skeet', P.M.; Secretary, Bro. R. Robertson,'P.M.-; S.D., Bro. J. Clirisp; J.D., Bro. A. F. Long; I .G., Bra. E. D. Smith; Organist, Bra. A S. Seymour: S.S.. Bro. AV. Pettio; J.S., Bro. A. E. N. Smith: Tyler, Bro. J. AAk Lentell. During tho installation ceremony an appropriate ode was sung by Bro. E. D. Smith, and the orchestra of tea members played tho Grand March “Albion.”

At the conclusion of the installation service tho Lodge adjourned, and tho members then sat down to a sumptuous banquet, when the following list .was gone- through:—“Tho King” ; “The Grand Lodge of England,” proposed by Bro. Zaehariah, and responded to by P.G.M. Bra. Sheet and Bro. E. 11. Alarm; “Tho Worshipful Master,” proposed by Bro. Zaehariah, and responded to by Bro. Ambridge; “Sister Lodges,” proposed by Bro. Ambridge, and responded to by Bra. Mann (Lodge Abereorn) in the absence of tho G.M. of N.Z.. and Bro. Kirk (Lodge Montrose) ; “Immediate Past Master”' proposed by Bro. Ambridge, and responded to by Bro. Zaehariah; “Tho Visitors,” proposed by Bro. AA'. Pettie, and responded to by Bro. AV. 1 1 . Crawford, lies, and Blackie; “Tho Newly-Installed Olficers,” proposed by Bro. M. DeCosta, and responded to bv Bros. A Jackie, Carroll, and E. D. Smith: “The Orchestra,” proposed by P.M. Bro. G. AV. Primrose, and re r spoiulcd to by Bros. Clirisp and Hopkey. A long musical programme was gone through during the evening, tho contributors being as follows:—Bros. Mitchell, Rowley, Ellis, Sidebottoin (songs), Cuthbort, Don, Hookey, Clirisp, Maekio (instrumental selections), Blackie, Gordon, Hird, and J. F. Pettio (recitations). The accompaniments' were capably played by, Bros. Sidebot-tom aid Clirisp.
