At the Magistrate’s Court to-day Clarence Pryor Horne was charged with having committed perjury in evidence given by him in tho Magistrate’s Court at Napier on January 23rd, during the prosecution of Martin Johnson for arson, by stating that Johnson had told him on tlie night after the fire that he had lost a valuable gold watch in tlie fire. Mr. McCarthy, S.M.. held that there was not sufficient evidence uixm which to commit Horne for trial, and dismissed the information. After hearing the evidence of employees and employers here to-day in the Tailors’ dispute, the Conciliation Board adjourned, to sit at Masterton on t-lie 21st inst.
