HOCKEY.
HOCKEY ASSOCIATION. The usual weekly meeting of tho management eommitteo was held in the Royal Hotel hist night. Present: .Messrs O. R. Olsen (chairman), Lewis, Gideon, Davy, Grant, mid Snrgisson (lion, see.) A letter was received from the 1.11. Rugby Union, allowing the association 59 per cent of gnto money up to £l, mid also allowing the use of the ground to tho Puta ladies-’ club on Tuesdays and Fridays, and to the Gisborne Indies’ club on Mondays.—lt ,vas decided to thank the Rugby Union for tlie letter, mid to accept tlieir terms. Tho Association decided that- no clmrge be made to the ladies’ clubs for the use of the ground. The possibility of obtaining a cup from Messrs Ryan Bros, was discussal, and tlie members present wero unanimously in favor of obtaining one for competition, if possible. U was resolved to continue tlio coninetition games on tlio Domain oil ‘Monday, 25th inst., instead of tlio •28th inst. The following games will take placo to-morrow: Te Itau v. km r-r-ha and AVest End v. City. Messrs Pavitt and Garrett were appointed rel'c:’oGS.
