A FATAL ACCIDENT.
TRAIN RUNS INTO JIGGER
ONE MAN KILLED
Frees Association. AUCKLAND, May 25.
A collision occurred near Penrose to-night between an Onehunga-bouiid train and a railway jigger, on which were seated two men named Matthew Brennan, a platelayer, and Jas. Barton. Barton was shockingly injured, and died within a few minutes. Brennan sustained slight injuries to liis head.
Barton was a plumber residing near Onohuiiga. He leaves a wife and five young children.
