THE HARBOR BOARD ELECTION (To the Emroit.]
Sir, —In- reading the -address of the two candidates for the above vacancy, I note that Mr Holden says straight out that ho is in favor of an outer liarhor. whilst on t-lie other hand Mr' Townley says his views on harbor matters generally no -doubt are well known and he will see, that Mr Marchant’s outer harbor scheme is placed before the ratepayers, at as early a date as possible. Now. this is neither fish nor ilesh or good rod herring. f for one don’t know Mr Townley's views on the outer harbor scheme ami I have always understood that he is only a lukewarm supporter of it and that he lias more of a leaning towards trying to improve the river. There is still time for Mr low nicy to ©ay what arc his klea6 on the outer harbor scheme and will ho support it or not.—l am,-etc., “INTERESTED.”
