BASIS OF ACCEPTANCE-.

Tho Houso. by 166 to 140, adopted tho -report of tho conference between tho Somito and the Houso on the compromise regarding the Currency Bill, providing that State, county, and municipal bonds may be accepted as a basis of emergency currency to the extent of 90 per cent, on- their marlcot valuo. Other bonds and conimorical paper may bo accepted to tho oxtent of 75 per cent. The Bill is limited to six years. Emergency circulation obtainable on commoriciil paper is limited to 30 per cent of tho nppliant bank’s combined capital and surplus.
