THE COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS.
DISTRIBUTION IN SCHOOLS. Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 1. The distribution of the 170,000-mag-nMillm medals which the Government ordered to be struck to commemorate the proclamation of New Zealand as a Dominion,., will be made amongst the various schools within, the next week 0 r two. The medals, which arebeing made by Messrs Moll or and Son, of Dunedin, will be sent direct from the firm’s factory to- the Education Boards, and a request has been made by the Minister of Education that the distribution at each school should be made with some little ceremony. The Wellington Education -Board will receive 19,300 medals, the Auckland Board 37,600, the North Canterbury Board 22,900, the Otago Board 22,000, and the Wanganui Board 15,200.
