Tho Westport Coal Co’s. Regulus arrived from Westport yesterday and came alongsido the wharf on the afternoon tide. Discharging operations were at once commenced, and the vessel will probably leave for Westport this afternoon. The Regulus brought 46 tons of coal. The schooner Gisborne arrived from Whitialiga yesterday morning. Sho left thevo on Saturday morning, with a fresh S.W. breeze. The following day the wind veered round to tho east and dirty weather followed. Capo Runaway was rounded on Monday morning, and land was not again sighted; on account of thick weather until Port Awanui .was reached. The Gisborne, which sailed up to the wharf, brought 56,000 ft of timber for different consignees. Tho U.S >3. Co.’s Waikare arrives • from South this morning, and sails • lator for Auckland. The Tuatea leaves the ■wharf •tub 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. The U.S.'S. Co.’s Moana arrives from Auckland this afternoon, and proceeds. South «.t night. Outward passengers leave the wharf at 7 ■p.m., and there will be a later launch for the /theatrical company. Tho U.S.'S. Co.’s Waipori arrived from Newcastle last wight with a full i* cargo of Pelanv-iMain coni. She discharges 100 tons at this port, and proceeds to Napier. The .U.-S.S. Co.’s Squall is due today from Tologa .Bay and Auckland. Tho N.Z. Shipping Co.’s R/M.S. Raupehu has arrived at Capetown. The 3.5. Rabaia arrived at'Monte Video on Friday. The R/M.S. Papalmi arrived at Wellington at 4 a.m. yesterday from 1.-ondon. The U.S.S. Co.’s Jlaiipiri is due today from Coast ports and Auckland. The barque Loch Lomond, recently purchased by the Union Company, - has been docked and overhauled prior to, loading a cargo of coal at Newcastle, after which sho will como over to New Zealtand .ports. The steamer Cornwall, due in Wellington from West of England ports shortly ,is bringing a total of 125 passengers, travelling in the third-class, who nro booked to various parts of - the Dominion.
