The Timarti Presbytery. met the congregation at St. Andrew’s last night to ascertain’the wishes of the congregation regarding the minister, llev. J. G. Chappie, -who .waaStelegraplied to some time ago and asked to resign. The c-hurch was crowded. The feeling was strongly in favor of retention of the minister.. A vote was taken, and resulted in 111 votes for and 77 .against. The, Presbytery resolved unanimously, in view of the opinion of the meeting, to take ho further action in the matter.
