McDonald and Casev, who were selected to play for South Island in the inter-island football match, will be unable to play, and will not be available for the second test match. Association to-dav. after a long discussion, decided to reduce tlie -amount charged for tlie use of tlie show ground for the Mana-watu-British football match to 20-per cent, of tho gross takings^.-A resolution to charge a lump sum of £SO was thrown out. Tho Manawatu Rugby Union this evening decided- to recommend the New Zeal ind Union to accept the offer of Feilding to allow the match to be played oil .tlie racecourse free of charge. Feilding people have raised £SO as a donation to the local Union if tho match is played there, also £SO for the entertainment of tho visiting team. The local Union will endeavor to arrange for a free train to convey passengers to Feikling from Palmerston North on tlie day of the match.
