Various reports are circulating,as to the Attorney-General intending to stand for a seat , in the House, ono suggestion being that he will stand foil tho Hon. C. Mills’ vacant seat. Dr. Findlay himself says it has been suggested that he should stand for three different places, but he has no intention of doing so. He finds his sphere of usefulness as leader of the Council just as large he were a member of the other House. WESTPORT, June'2o. Three candidates are definitely announced for the Buffer seat: Messrs Colvin (the, sitting member), F. F. Munro, and V. T. MacNamara.
