TE KARAKA RACING CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The animal meeting of the above flub was held at the Kangatira Hotel on '-Monday evening, the President (Mr. J. A. Caesar), being' in the chair. A financial statement was submitted, showing that the club had a very successful year, there being a substantial balance to carry forward. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Mr. J. A. Caesar (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs A. M. Lewis and E. F. Krause ; surgeon, Dr. Scott; treasurer, Mr. L. T. Symcs; secretary, Mr. Janies Pettie : committee, Messrs O. Monekton. L. C. -Allen, Geo. Scott, E. Dcverv, H. Kuru, M. Manuel, and D. j. Barry. Votes of thanks wore accorded the retiring officers, and to the assistant secretary (Mr. P. J. Seftonl, who had carried n.ul the duties of secretary during the indisposition of Mr. J.. McCredie very creditably. It was decided to meet again next I ne.sday evening, when the .question of purchasing the land where thy course .is situated will he discussed.
