THE LATEST LOADED AIR GAS. iStop]iCH6oll ’is Loaded-air Gas Patent, which- has been purchased by Mr. Charles S. iMcFarlano, should prove itself a favorite with the general public for lighting purposes. A “Tillies’’ reporter has seen the plant installed in 'Mis Majesty's Theatre at work, and it appeared to be extremely isucccssfull. Mr. M*e'Earliane claims no novelty for the apparatus. He simply has a. tank like a small ordinary gasometer, such as dentists use, the inner tank of which is lifted up so that air passes into it through i valve. It is then weighted to produce pressure of air within it. Air is carried through a carburetter, which is simply a small box, and .the oil is vaporised and used for,lighting purposes with the ordinary “AVelsbaeli” or other mantle. There is absolutely no danger. The writer unscrewed the top of the carburetter a held a match over it. The first cost is extremely low. The whole invention consists in the particular mixture of hydro-carbon oils, whichmakes a combined oil volatilizible by the mere passage, over its surface of a current of air. This system certainly solves the whole problem so fir as we can possibly see, as no bellows, blower, or motor of any sort is required, and the system is tho simplest to handle that wo have over seen-.
