The Auckland season of Aleynell cind Gunn’s Beatty-Alclntosh Company which opens here on' AVednesday. next, with tlie military drama “Her Love Against the’AVorJfl,” has according to the Auckland papers, been highly successful, crowded houses being the rule nightly. “Her Love against the world” which is to he played here for two nights, is a stirring military drama of great literary merit. Air. Harcourt Beatty is castas Eric, Earl of Strathmore, and Aliss Aladgc Mclntosh as Princess Iris of Idalia. Following “Her Love Againstthe AVorld” the romantic hostorieal day “A Beggar on Horseback” will ie staged for two nights, Friday and Saturday. This latter piece is a story full of interest-, dealing with the period of tlie Jacobito rebellion, and the attempt of his followers to place Charles Stuart on the throne of England.
