Sir.—l. see file Chinaman has got die small edge of-the wedge in -as regards fruit -and greengrocery business here, but he was ashamed to- put his name on the window. Now, if the ladies and gentlemen of Gisborne want to make this a prosperous and healthy - town for the rising generation, now is the time to put down this kind of industry. To my surprise a European woman was serving in the shoji. Trusting people will take my advice on the subject-,—l am, etc.» “ASHA'AIED.”
