Air. F. Hall returned from South by the s.s. Victoria on Saturday morning. Rev. G. H. Stowel], of Waipawa, arrived, by tho s.s. Victoria from Napier on Saturday morning, and conducted the services at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church yesterday. Air. J. A\. Cargill, the Napier manager, for tho U.S.S. Co.’s who has been spending a few days in Gisborne, returned to Napier by the s.s. Waikaro last night. • Air. Stanley Aiuir, of the staff of the “P.B. Herald,” was a passenger for South by the s.s. Waikare last night. -The Hon. Captain Tucker, M.L.C., left by the AA’aikaro for Wellington yesterday.
Mr. T. E. Toney cl iff o, who has for some years been in business in Christchurch. arrived in Gisborne on Saturday to take over the management of. Afr. A\ r . Pettie’s drapery business. Mr. AV. Leslie Reynolds, 0.E., will leave Gisborne for Tokomaru Bay today.
