Co.’s Monowai arrived from South early yesterday morning and left again at noon for Auckland. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrived from Auckland at about halfpast eleven yesterday morning. Sho was tendered by the Tuatea on arrival, but owing to the silt in the river the tender did not leave the vessel’s side for the wharf until after 2 p.m, the passengers being landed at, the wharf at about 2.30.- The vessel left “ for Napier and AVollirgion at about 8 o’clock last evening. The Tuatea tendered the steimer shortly after 7 o’clock, and though the soa was rough the passengers were got aboard without difficulty. •/ : The schooner Gisborne arrived from Mercury Bay yesterday morning. She attempted to come up the river at about 1 in the af let noon, but grounded, and was not get off until high tide at nbout 5 p.m. The scow Alert arrived from AA’hangarei at i 0.30 yeiyteiday morning. Sho left AVhangarei on Sunday evening, and pissed Tojogn H-y on Tuesday morning, meeting •• ith good weather all tho way down. Her cargo consists of 130 tons of coal consigned to Messrs Bold) Bros.
