WAIAPU LICENSING COMMITTEE.
ADJOURNED MEETING. The adjourned meeting of the AVaiapu Licensing Committee was held yesterday. Present: Messrs A\ r . A. Barton, S.M. (Chairman), J. Somorvell, and G. Darton. Tho -application for renewal of the Tologa Bay hotel license was again brought up, and was further -adjourned until the-28th inst., ,when it is expected tho new building will be completed. An-extension of time to carry on in- the temporary premises was granted. / In the cases of both the Muriwai and Motu hotels, the renewals were granted, as the necessary improvements had been carried out. In tlie case of the A\ r aerenga-a-liika -hotel, the Chairman stated that the Committee had-been unable to proceed to tlio hotel to inspect,the drainage, and the application Would be adjourned until 28th inst.
•J. H. Jamiesop was granted a temporary transfer of tho To Puke hotel to A. G. Turnbull, and Air. J. B. Ho!l ier' was granted two months’ leave of absence from August Ist; Air. AV. Hollier tp be left in charge. Satisfactory reports were received from Constables Dandy, Bevan, and Doyle, with regard- to tlio carrying out of improvements, authorised at the annual mooting, in the Waeronga-a-hika, Waipiro, and Ormond hotels.
