MANGAPAPA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
- MONTHLY MEETING. Tho usual monthly meeting of tlie Mangapapa School Committee was held last night, when there were present,. Messrs M. McLeod (chairman) C’oTftl, Brown, Grundy, Ellery, and Goldsmith. Tho Headmaster’s report was read, and showed that tho number on the roll was 175, and tho average attendance 148. On tlie motion of Mr. Ellery, seconded by Mr. Grundy, it was resolved that the Committee desires to express its appreciation of the action of the Education Board in amending Regulation 15, dealing "with the halfhour for Bible instruction. It was further resolved that tlie attention of tho Board should be drawn to the necessity of re-painting the present school buildings, and also that tlie Board be notified that the Committee did not reoeivo any nomination papers in- connection .with the recent election for tho Northern Ward. . Accounts amounting to £7 14s were passed for uayment, and the meeting adjourned.
