The United States Circuit Court of Appeal quashed the twenty-nine million dollars fine against the Standard Oil Company, and ordered a re-trial. The Court held that Judge Landis was wrong in basing tho fine on the wealth of the parent company instead of on tho •capital of the Standard Oil Company at Indiana.
