LICENSED VICTUALLERS.
ANNUAL MEETING. ; [Press Association.] WELLINGTON, July 23. At the annual meeting of;the New Zealand - Licensed Victuallers’ Association to-day the following resolution was passed: “That the members of this Association, in annual session assembled, liave learned with deep regret that a statement has been made to the Trades and Labor Conference now sitting in Wellington, ‘That it was an instruction to the executive of the Licensed Victuallers Association to take an unanimous stand against labor'; also, ‘that the Licensed Victuallers. Association is {hostile to labor.’ This meeting now places on record the fact that no instruction as stated has ever been sent to the executive of the Licensed V ictualicrs’ -Association, nor has any such question ever been discussed; and further this. meeting strongly deprecates suggestion that the [accused Victuallers’ Association of New Zealand is hostile to organised labor in any form.” -
