Discharging operations on the U. S.S. Co.’a Kuiapoi were carried on vestordav, nnd tho vessel sailed for Napier last night to discharge the remainder of -lior coal. Messrs Richardson aifd Co.’s Fanny sailed early yesterday morning for Nnpior via Boat Harbor. The schooner Gisborne left yesterday afternoon for Tologa Bay and Auckland. she took general cargo • for the former port and pumpkins and artificial manure for Auckland. The barquentine Pelotas, from Newcastle, arrived in the Bay early yes--terday morning with, a cara;o of 300 tons of coal for the Gas Company. The vessel attempted to come alongside the wharf on tho midday tide, .but when just opposite No. 1 shed she got fast in the silt, and in spito of "all efforts remained immovable. She remained there perforce all afternoon,.. and evening, and another - ■ attempt to move, her will he made at high water early this morning. If this should prove unsuccessful, a quantity of her cargo will be lightered to lessen her draught. The Pelotas loft Newcastle on July 10th, and although encountering most unfavorable weather during the early portion of her voyage, made, on the whole, a good passage of 18 day 6. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrives from. South early to-morrow morning, and sails for Auckland during the forenoon. The U.S.S. Co.’s Taltino returns from Auckland on Sunday afternoon and sails South in the evening. The U.S.S. Co.’s Haupiri will proI bably arrive this evening, or to-mor-row, from Coast ports and Auckland, en routo to Napier. The auxiliary schooner Ivereru, tho schooner Awn.nui, and the ketch Coronation have all passed the blast Cape on their way to this port, and are expected at any time.
