ACCIDENT TO COACH. SEKIUUS ItKSIJJ.X AVERTED. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, July 28. The passengers by tlio West Coast coach from Otira on Monday met witli a. thrilling experience. Tho swingle-tree of one of tlio leading horses broko, and lator tho drivor was thrown from the box. He foil betwoon tlio two shatters and was unable to regain his seat. The horses, finding themselves practically free, commenced to gallop, but hail only gone a lew yards when one of tlio leaders fell, stooping the coach and bringing the other horses to a standstill. There were five passengers, but fortunately no one was hurt. If the coach bail proceeded about another twenty yards it is stated the result would probably have been serious.
