THE N.Z. DENTAL SCHOOL.
A VERY SUCCESSFUL INSTITUTION. [Special to “Times.”] WELLINGTON, July-27 The question of the New Zealand Dental School cropped up at a meeting of Otago members to-day. Mr. Jas. Allen said the school, which had been established in connection with the Otago University College was a great success. Indeed it was a much greater success than the College Council ever anticipated it would be. It was already doing an immense amount of good to the community and would oe of great advantage to the colony, generally. It had been .started in a small way, and it was never anticipated that it would grow so fast. At present there were no fewer than 250 patients attending at the Dental Hospital, and the number of honorary aental Burgeons bad 'been increased to twelve. Some of tliem came down every morning and assisted to deal ■ni , s l a fS° number of patients. Ihe school had grown to such an extent that- a further grant- had become necessary. The amount needed was £2OOO. It was decided to ask the Government for, a graut of that, amount).;- '
