Tho Into arrival of tho s.s. Alokoia from Napior to-day causes tho lvniti-City-Tokomaru match to be again postponed.. It is probablo that tlio game will eventuate on Monday and, failing the local club boing ablo to got a team, a mixed toam will take the field against the visitors, lliero will, therefore, only bo one game on Victoria Domain this afternoon, the junior match between tho lvaiti-City anti West End Clubs. Both teams are reported strong, and as tins match will decide who is to hold the junior championship, thoro should bo a keen anti willing game. Tho lvaiti-City team will be as follows : —E. Luttroll, Gronfol, Fitzgerald, Pollock, AVitty, Bright, Luttroll, McGregor, Moltae, Bristow, Braggo. Coleman, Nicolas, Hickoy, Mooro: emergencies, P. Fromm and J. O’Neill. . , Air. AV. Howard will be in charge of the game. In the morning, at 10 o clock, a match will be played between teams representing the Iviiti School ami Ihe Catholic School. HIGH SCHOOLS’ MATCH. [Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 14. Tho annual football match between the Bovs’ High School and the AA aitaki High School was played this afternoon,. and resulted in a win lor tho former by 11 points to 6.
A DELINQUENT FOOTBALLER. [Press Association.] AVELLINGTON, August 14. A'assail, one of tho Anglo-AVelsh footballers, is still in AVellington. His passage hack to England will he arranged by the New Zealand Rugby Union. It is expected ho will leave next week.
