Dr. Kennedy, Principal of Alcoa nee College, Napier, arrived on Saturday evening by the s.s. AHctoria- from South, .to deliver lectures in connection with the winter school. The Rev. Thos. Fee, the no-license advocate, returned to Auckland on Saturday evening. The Hon. Captain Tucker was a passenger for South by the s.s. AVnikare last evening. . Air. ([}. de S. Baylis, of the Agricultural Department, who has been ip Gisborne in connection with the winter school, left for South last ' J. A. Gilruth, chief Government) Veterinarian, was a passenger for Auckland by the s.s. Victoria on Saturday even rug. Our Wellington correspondent wires that Air. Massey, who lias been sjilrcrino’ from tonsilitis for the past few clays, is'‘now 1 practically recovered. “ On Saturday evening the members of the local Bakers’ l : nion met at the Federal Cafe' and entertained Air AVeale, President ot the Auckland Bakers’ Union, who was on a short visit to Gisborne.
