FRASERTOWN. , v [From Our Correspondent.] Tho To Kapu Rifle Club held its second intermediate match at the local range on Saturday. Tlie shooting was much below the average, owing to a tricky wind. Several of tlie best shots of ..the Club were unavoidably absent. The following are the principal scores: —Rifleman F. Steed 92, Captain Chapman 86, Riflemen W. G. Couper 81, H. Brown 81, T. Hall SI, A. E. Beckett 79, G. Phillips 76, S. Twigg 69, C. Stacey 60, H. J. Kent 57. Kakea 54, W. Fletcher 50. Tho ranges were 200, 500. and 600yds.
Somo of the piles for the Erasertown bridge arrived by the scow Tuliara last week. These piles are 55ft long, 14in by 14in, ancl weigh from 31 to 4 tons each. Tlie sale is reported of Mr. Dickinson’s property at Ruakiture. at a satisfactory figure, Mr. Colin Rigby, of tho Wairoa telephone exchange, has been transferred to Gisborne.
