The Marine Court of Enquiry found that the Colac-Pareora collision was due to Captain Joliffe, the master of the Colac, steering a wrong course, and to Captain Downie, the master of •the Parcora, starlioarding when collision was imminent. Roth have been called upon to show cause why thencertificates should not be suspended. [The collision between the steamer Colac and the collier I'areora occurred at Sydney Heads early in the morning of August 29th. The Colac was onterim' and the collier was outward bound. A huge hole was torn in the Colac’s bows, and she narrowly escaped foundering.]
