THE ARBITRATION BILL.
A PLETHORA OF AMENDMENTS. (Special to “Times.’ ) WELLINGTON, iSopt. 16. Mr Barclay yesterday gave notice of hie intention to move twenty amendments in the Arbitration Bill. Ho said that was a first instalment. Today ho gave notice of ihis intention to move thirty other amendments. In his speech in the House to-niglit, Sir Joseph Ward expressed surprise that one member such give notice of so many 'amendments. Mr. Barclay subsequently explained that some of liis ■aim udmonts were vorbal and-inconse-quential, but others wero very important. 110 would probably have allot her ten to-morrow.
