PRIME MINISTER’S POLITICAL MAJORITY. [Stecial to “Times.”] WELLINGTON, Sept! 18. To-morrow week (Dominion Day) will be the twenty-first anniversary of the Prime Minister in. political life. At a meeting of tlie members of tlie Governrrient party of the House of Representatives this evening, it was resolved to make a suitable presentation to Sir Joseph .in commemoration of the important occasion. A committee was appointed to make the arrangements in connection with the presentation, which will take place on Dominion Day. Members of the Legislative Council also held a meeting to-day, and discussed the question of making some presentation to- the Prime Minister. A party of seven was appointed to confer with, the committee from tlie Government party in the Lower House. . . THE LOOH LOMOND.
. . In compliance with the request of a number of Auckland residents, Messrs Kidd iand, Lawry, M-P.’s, waited upon the Minister for Marine to-day to request that the s.s. Hinemoa should be instructed to search for the barque Loch Lomond. . The . Minister states that the Hinemoa would be directed to visit the Snares, tho Solander and other islands, and generally to keep a sharp loo'k-out for the missing vessel. Tho Union Company’s steamers, it was stated, have boon keeping a look-out for some time.
