THE SCHEME FOR A NAVY. LONDON PRESS COMMENT. United Press Association, Copyright (Received Sept. 20, 4.40 p.m.) i LONDON, Sept. 19. The “Spectator” states that it is practically impossible for the Admiralty to twice reject a scheme for a local Australian navy. It it cannot float Australia’s elastic ambitious, the Admiralty ought to advise what was the best, stratagem. An arrangement was possible on the basis of established facts. Imperial unity depends on the recognition of a strong national feeling on the great colonies.
