Newspapers commend Victoria's excellent display at the Grocers’ Exhibition at Islington. Hon. J. W. Traverner. presiding at the inaugural dinner, urged the establishment; of an Imperial Council which was indispensable to the adoption of an Imperial policy. If the King visited Australia he would be received with never-to-be-forgotten enthusiasm.
