Ileiirst lias cast a bombshell into tho Republic and Democratic camps. Me publicly read letters from Air. Arelibohl, of the Standard Oil Trust, to Senators Forakor and Sibley, indicating that they, while in public office, bad financial and other relations with the Trust. Other documents similarly assail Senators Bailey and Easkell (Democrats). ’i'lie owners contend that the letters were stolen. Senator Foraker’s explanation is that the moneys were legal lees lor services not connected with legislation. The disclosures have inflamed public opinion anew against Air. Bryan. Tile latter lias opened bis campaign at New York. He assailed Mr. Roosevelt’s principle of dynasty founding, wfliich lie declared was contrary to free institutions.
