FOOTBALL. P.B. RUGBY UNION. Tlio usual weekly mooting of the Management Committee of the Rugby Union was hold last night in the Masonic Hotel. Present: Messrs H. E. Maude (chairman), L. 13. Slierrilf, J. S. Wane hop, H. Puflett, L. 0. Ingram, G. K. Pasley, O. Morse, and E. L. Maude (lion sec). The minutes of tho last meeting were read and confirmed. A list was laid on the table of junior players who were able to make the trip to Tologa to play a match against the Waiapu juniors.—l't was decided that tho selectors be requested to pick a team at once, as it is proposed that the team leave town on Friday morning. Mr. L. 0. Ingram was appointed manager of the team, which will play in scarlet colors. Each selected player will he required to hand 10s to Mr. P. Bayly at Air. W. 'Miller’s before Friday to cover necessary expenses. The secretary of the Poverty Bay Hockey Association wrote reouesting the use of the Domain on Thursday for a challenge match between the two clubs.—lt was resolved that the request be granted. A letter was read from the secretary of the Makauri Club, asking for a fixture between tho Makauri-Taruheru clubs and the winners of tho Kaiti-City-Gisborne match on October 3r<f.- — It- was decided that-, as tile season ends on September 31st, the application could not be considered.
