Farmers, especially those in tlie dairying industry, writes the Akaroa correspondent of the “Lyttelton Times,” are now wanting rain badly, as it iis some six weeks since there was a good downpour. The weather has been ideal for lambing, now general on the Peninsula, and the season will be a record one. One sheep fanner reports over 130 per cent of lambs. The lambs are very sturdy and strong.
