NAPIER SITTINGS. [Press Association.] NAPIER, Sept. 24.. At tlie Supreme Court to-day, in tlie case of William James Vickqr-s, charged with the unlawful conversion of moneys at AVairoa, the jury, by. tlie direction of Mr. Justice Chapman, returned a verdict of not guilty, and accused was discharged. Joseph AToran, alias Reynolds, was found guilty of tlie theft- of money in- an hotel in Napier, and -sentence was deferred. HOKITIKA SITTINGS. [Press Association.] HOKITIKA, Sept. 24. In the Supremo Court in tho AV'estporfc perjury case, the case for the prosecution closed and the defence is being proceeded with. In reply to the foreman of the jury, Air. Justice Cooper said lie did not think the case would he finished before Tuesday or Wednesday.
