LONDON, Sept. 24. Thirty-six ears started in the 24-horse-power 4-inch cylinder motor car contest at tlio Isle of Alan, a distance of 339] miles, to determine the highest- speed on unlimited consumption. There were ten ambulance stations along the route, and many medical men on duty. Already several accidents have occurred.
(Received Sept. 25. 10 p.-m.) LONDON, Sept. 25. A Hutton car, built by the Napier Co., and driven by AI. AVatson won, covering the 339] miles in 6 hours 44 minutes 45 seconds. The second and third cars, Darracqs, took a few minutes longer. A number of cars were damaged, but there were no serious accidents. Watson started first and was never passed.
