The delights of a tour through the most civilised countries of tlie world Jnvo been, graphically written by Air. Tom Adair, who returned to Gisborne on Saturday after a tour through America, England, and Europe, extending over seven months. Mr. Adair left Gisborne by the Zealandia on the 7th of March last, and after calling ,at Sydney went on to Brishan, where he embarked for Fiji, en route to America, Arriving at Victoria (British Columbia) Air. Adahvisited Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and other largo Canadian cities, and then went across to London, where he .stayed for some time, afterwards visiting many of the principal cities in Great Britain. lOn the -return journey Air. Adair visited Naples, Colombo, Perth, Alelbourne, and Sydney, -and from thero took steamer to AVellington. Air. Adair has written a detailed account of his travels, containing many facts and figures, and his impressions of. tho various countries through which -he travelled, and the account will bo published at length in the “Times,” ■and will prove interesting reading.
